Vision 2030 is not centered on a building for its own sake. It is about preparing Good News Chapel to become the church capable of sustaining and faithfully stewarding that space.
This means growing together spiritually, developing a lasting culture of stewardship, including the congregation in shaping our future, and investing wisely in the people and systems that support ministry.
What kind of church must we become in order to faithfully steward the facility we are asking God to provide?
From spiritual preparation to groundbreaking and construction, these milestones guide the journey toward 2030.

Before we expand physically, we must deepen spiritually.

Shared generosity and responsible income generation support the building project while strengthening ministry for generations to come.
Our new facility should be shaped by the people it serves.
Intentional Inclusion ensures that the new facility is not simply designed for the congregation, but developed through its meaningful participation.
Consultation, vision framing, concept development, feedback, and design endorsement help shape a facility that reflects the church's identity, mission, and calling.
Strengthening our capabilities today so we can faithfully steward tomorrow.
Strategic Investment develops the physical, technological, operational, and human resources necessary for sustainable ministry.
The roadmap advances from infrastructure and safety improvements to technology, training, leadership development, and stronger organizational systems.
Why these pillars matter: They are not four separate projects. Together, they provide a coordinated pathway toward a stronger church and a sustainable future.
The future Good News Chapel facility is envisioned as more than a place to gather each week. It represents an opportunity to create welcoming, adaptable spaces that support worship, discipleship, fellowship, creative ministry, wellness and service to the wider community.
Vision 2030 · Concept Illustration
Vision 2030 calls us to think beyond the physical structure and consider how each space can serve the mission of the church.
The goal is a facility that supports meaningful ministry throughout the week, creates opportunities for participation, and welcomes future generations.
Its final design will be informed by congregational consultation, practical needs, and responsible long-term planning.
These ministry uses reflect features considered in the initial 2022 concept. The final mix, capacity and configuration remain subject to the design process.
A dedicated auditorium for worship, teaching and church gatherings.
Shared space for meals, connection, ministry events and community activities.
Purposeful environments for children to learn, grow and develop their faith.
Audio and video production facilities supporting communication, creativity and outreach.
Facilities supporting physical wellbeing, wellness programmes and community engagement.
Adaptable, accessible environments to support different ministries and evolving community needs.
An initial architectural concept was developed in 2022, before the current Vision 2030 congregational design process. The concept provides a useful starting point, but the proposed layout, facilities and specifications remain subject to evaluation, consultation, refinement and formal congregational endorsement.
