2022 Conceptual Drawing

As we begin our journey to 2030, we pause to acknowledge the work already done. In 2022, a conceptual drawing was created for the Good News Center — a vision that helped shape our direction.

Now, in the spirit of intentional inclusion, we invite all stakeholders to revisit that design with fresh eyes as we move toward finalizing plans by the end of this year.

At our first Building Forum on May 16, 2026, this concept will serve as the baseline for discussion. Come ready with your thoughts, questions, and suggestions.

We can’t wait to hear from you.

Making Spaces Podcast

Churches are more than buildings — but imagine if our spaces intentionally reflected the beauty of God and helped draw people closer to Him.

Produced by Barna Group in collaboration with Aspen Group, the Making Space project explores important questions: How are disciples formed? Can the spaces we gather support spiritual growth? How do our in-person and online experiences shape our worship and understanding of God?

We invite all GNC members to explore this report series and join the conversation about how our church spaces can better serve God’s mission.

MAking Space for Inspiration

This first volume sets the foundation, looking at ways people connect with spiritual and everyday spaces. Just as a visitor might journey through your church building, we start with an overview of the feelings and perceptions people might bring with them into a space and what the Church can learn from this.

What does it look like to design beautiful spaces that evoke a sense of transcendence and connection to the divine?

We invite you to join us in exploring how places of worship, including your own church, might be used to inspire others and advance Church mission.

VISION2030 is intentionally structured around four interdependent pillars:

Spiritual Formation serves as the foundation of this vision. It centers on the church’s commitment to give to its members by intentionally nurturing spiritual growth, biblical literacy, and shared theological grounding. This pillar establishes the values, trust, and long-term vision necessary for any major undertaking.

At the foundation of this vision is a four-year, chapter-by-chapter journey through the entire Bible, covering all 1,189 chapters.

  • Start: May 16, 2026 (Genesis 1)
  • End: August 16, 2029 (Revelation 22)

This is defined as the development of durable financial systems that allow the church to thrive without exhausting its people. Sustainable Funding is not framed as fundraising in isolation, nor as the commercialization of ministry, but as a faithful expression of shared stewardship and wise resource management.

This pillar is expressed through two complementary categories:

  1. Communal Savings/Systematic Giving
  2. PIE (Projects, Initiatives and Events)

Establishes a deliberate, inclusive process for shaping the vision and design of the future Good News Chapel facility. It recognizes that sustainable funding is most effective when it is directed toward a vision that the church body has collectively discerned, defined, and embraced.

Consultation 2026 Timeline

  • May & June  - Consultation & Input
  • July - Design Brief Development
  • Aug & Sep - Concept Design & Ministry Alignment
  • Oct - Refinement & Consensus Building
  • Nov & Dec - Design Endorsement

Strategic Investment establishes a disciplined and forward-looking approach to strengthening the church’s present capacity in order to enable its future vision. It recognizes that long-term ministry sustainability requires the intentional development of the physical, technological, operational, and human systems that support effective ministry.

INVESTMENT SCHEDULE

  • 2026: Infrastructure
  • 2027: Equipment & Technology
  • 2028: People & Systems
